Relief Carving

Plan:
For my relief carving project, I planned to make a turtle as the main design. My goal was to keep the background lower and smooth while making the turtle stand out as the main focus.

Reflection:
My relief carving didn’t make it to the firing stage because it broke while it was being stored on the outside shelf. Looking back, I realize the piece was probably too thick overall, especially on the turtle's shell. If I did this project again, I would make the whole thing thinner.
